FAMILY MONOTERPENE
Monoterpenes are substances built with 2 isoprene units. They are usually volatile and (poly-)cyclic compounds, main constituents of essential oils. These materials are broadly reported as GC terpene standards in monographs related to these oils. We also offer a calibration test mixture for GC equipement according to ISO 11024: see our reference 5223 S .
Iridoids are monoterpene refrence material issued from "nepetalactol" backbone, naturally found in some plant species (usually as glycosides) and responsible for their pharmaceutical activities, such as anti-hepatotoxic, hypoglycemic, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antiviral etc.
